A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its response. Shawano County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

An email sent to the site may be retained long enough to review and answer it. The message is not shared beyond the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.

It publishes general directions to the Shawano County Sheriff, Wisconsin Circuit Court, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau, and the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a third-party criminal profile or consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy policies, rather than this policy, govern data entered in those tools. Each company sets its own retention, use, and disclosure terms. Read those terms before sending a query.
